Rojo Rubi "Lechin" extra virgin olive oil 500ml

£12.00

Hand picked by local farmers in the Lecrin Valley which is located halfway between Granada town and the coast. The centuries old trees found on terraces between orange and lemon groves are difficult to harvest due to their size and location. They produce a small olive called “lechin de Granada” which ripens later than other olives. Harvesting is normally in late December or early January. Oil made from Lechin olives is highly sought after in Andalucia due to its uniqueness.

This is a light slightly sweet fluid olive oil with herbal aromas and a peppery aftertaste. The oil is unfiltered and full of natural goodness. Its perfect for bread dipping, salad dressing, drizzling over vegetables, pasta or cooked meat or fish.
